Introduction

Reiki, wisdom and truth

Throughout the history of mankind there have been healings based on the event and/or on the transmission of universal vital energy, able to penetrate all, of a force able to produce and maintain all forms of life in the universe.

The Tibetans had, for example, a deep understanding about the being of the spirit, of matter and energy, already thousands of years ago. They used this knowledge to heal their body, to harmonize their soul and spirit to bring your own experience of the unit. We also find that knowledge in India, in modified forms in Japan, China, ancient Egypt, Greece, during the Roman Empire and other countries.

This knowledge has been protected and preserved in all of the "Mystery Schools" of almost every culture in its entirety and accessible only to a few insiders. Generally these knowledge were handed down orally, and most of the times to only one pupil. Much of the knowledge of the past is lost for this reason.

The same happened with Reiki, had been lost. At the end of the nineteenth century Dr. Mikao Usui, in constant search of himself, and through meditation, he discovered the keys again, which again made possible the application of this ancient knowledge of natural healing.

The word Reiki stands for Universal Life Energy. It is defined as the force that works and lives in all things. The word consists of two parts. The syllable REI describes the boundless universal aspect of this energy.
The Ki is the life force that flows through all living things.

These are the immortal words that Osho dictated to his epitaph

After giving up his name accepts from his disciples the name "Osho" explaining that it comes from the word "oceanic" which means dissolving into the ocean

Oceanic describes the experience, He says, but what about the experiencer? For that we use the word "Osho"

Later, He came to find out that "Osho" has also been used historically in the Far East, meaning "The Blessed One, on Whom the Sky Showers Flowers"
Mikao Usui

Mikao Usui

Root of the Reiki path Mikao Usui, a Buddhist practitioner,
was the one who brought back among us the knowledge of Reiki as a system of healing through the Universal Energy, and as a Spiritual Path.

Arjawa Petter, talking on Usui Principles, has expressed his thoughts in this way:

"Friends,
Reiki is not a religion,
is a spiritual path,
a path to freedom and liberation,
a path to enlightenment,
and in order to walk this path
we need a map.

This map which will guide us has been given to us by Usui Sensei in the form of the Five Usui Principles".

From the story handed down by Takata is reported that Usui was a teacher at a Catholic university.

In my experience of over twenty years of Reiki Master, and teaching this part of history as it was brought to me, I find it more real the discovery made by Arjawa Petter, a German Reiki Master who lived for long time in Japan.

Reiki,
meditation
and path

Reiki is not only a process of healing for others, but particularly for ourself

While practicing Reiki you enter easily into the space of meditation, and this is the space where the teaching of Usui wants to bring us

The path of Reiki can be ultimately a path to enlightenment, a journey towards self-realization, and it is felt more and more once absorbed
